All Dog-Friendly Stops!First we stopped at one of our favorite dog-friendly parks, Somerset Hills Park, to stretch our legs. Then we visited my friend at her incredible boutique in Town Square, Amethyst Colony, to do some shopping. We finished our Las Vegas stop at my all time favorite Mediterranean lunch spot, Crazy Pita. Only a couple hours further and we made it to St. George, Utah! Our first stop, Red Reef Trailhead to get some steps in and find some water for my dog to splash around in. Dog Friendly. Self Pay Parking Area. Easy 2 mile loop through red canyons with watering holes, waterfalls during wet seasons, lush trees and red sands. Only one hour away from St. George was our next stop, Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park in Kanab, UT. Dog Friendly. $10 entrance fee. Soft coral pink sand dunes, rent sleds or ATVs. On our way to our next activity we found an incredible bar in Richfield to stop for lunch. Bar86, Richfield, UT2 hours more on the road and we made it to Swasey's Beach at Green River. Only an hour further til we reached Moab, UT. Ken's Lake Campground and Faux Falls wasn't only the best stop of the day, it was the best stop of the whole trip! I ended up driving my first off-road path in my new Bronco...TO A WATERFALL! Dinner: Moab BBQ Spitfire Smokehouse (Best BBQ of my life!)OVERNIGHT: FAIRFIELD INN & SUITES, MOAB, UTUnfortunately the Penny Hot Springs were too hot to bathe in and the white water rapids around them were too strong for me to relax with a water dog so this stop ended up being more of a stop-and-see than a soak. However, the hot springs are located directly below the unpaved turn-off where you park so it was an easy and beautiful place to stretch our legs! Stopped in Glenwood Springs to walk around and grab lunch. Rocky Mountain Pizza was the most delicious and convenient place to grab a bite! My first time in Denver, CO and I was impressed! The city is clean and quiet. It isn't overrun by homeless as I'm used to living in Los Angeles and we were able to walk around a few neighborhoods very easily. Boulder is my regular Colorado city stop and still my favorite. See Central Westbound road trip for details on Boulder stop. OVERNIGHT: RESIDENCE INN CHERRY CREEK, DENVER, CO
OVERNIGHT: COURTYARD OMAHA DOWNTOWN/OLD MARKET AREA
OVERNIGHT: TOWNEPLACE SUITES ANN ARBORBreakfast at Ann Arbor's famous Jewish Deli, Zimmerman's. Zimmerman's Bakehouse adjacent to Zimmerman's Coffee Company are both open at 7 am for food and drink. One of the best cinnamon rolls I have EVER. had! Niagara Falls State Park ended up being one of the best experiences I've ever had with my dog. Totally dog-friendly and affordable hotels walking distance from the state park. I purchased a ticket for Cave Of The Winds for $19 which gets you as close to the falls as you can get. My water dog LOVED exploring and getting soaked and I will keep these memories with me forever!
