The Cupid’s Fall Series by Beth C. Greenberg pulled me into a world I never wanted to leave. 2/6/2022 Cupid is quite literally kicked off Mt. Olympus by his very own mother, Aphrodite, as punishment when he gets himself into trouble carelessly shooting his arrows. Fallen to Earth in a literal body of a Greek God, Cupid quickly learns the magnitude his arrows hold. Falling in love for the first, second, third and fourth time only to be tasked with setting his heart’s desire up with their “worthy,” Cupid learns heartbreak the hard way. This story follows the trials and tribulations of falling in love, maintaining complicated relationships, even drama amongst the Gods on Mt. Olympus, and will hook you into the dysfunctional family soap opera you never knew you needed and surely can’t get enough of.
In Greenberg’s first book, First Quiver, Cupid is humbled by first love and heartbreak. While he makes many mistakes along the way, his heart is finally set on the right path. Wishful for “right loves” and what that means for the worthies who find them. Assisting Cupid is his long-lost best friend, Pan, who comes with his own conflicts. This story will take you on a ride through love, loss, grief, forgiveness, understanding and joy. In Greenberg’s second book, Into The Quiet, Cupid’s heart beats for a married worthy. Will he be strong enough to reconnect a distanced marriage? Learning what it takes to renew love and keep that love alive, this read was a sweet reminder of vows, commitment, our true desires and most importantly, how to fall in love with ourselves again. Greenberg’s third book dips majorly into LGBTQ love. While we see glimpses of PANsexual erotica in the earlier books, Quite The Pair takes Cupid and Pan’s bromance to the ultimate test. We’re also introduced to a new, lasting character whose warmth makes this fictional family feel even more like home. In the finale, The Quest For Psyche, we finally find out Cupid’s fate. With so many questions about Cupid’s future on the line, this read has “edge of your seat” written on every page. While fictional, the author provides realistic appeal and meaning to life with true love. Something I was on the verge of giving up on as a single 28 year old. She restores hope in not only finding “right love,” but deserving and enjoying it as well. The Cupid’s Fall Series satisfies every desire one could have in a story. Brilliant character development, unrequited love, mended relationships, friends to lovers, family scandal, happy endings for deserving characters as well as an upbeat contemporary retelling of all your favorite Greek myths. The Cupid’s Fall Series lives in my head now as a part of me and I hope to see it come alive on screen very soon. I can guarantee you will find new love as soon as you pick up this series! You can find all 4 books here with the finale available for purchase starting tomorrow, February 8th, in time to gift for Valentine’s Day! Can’t wait to see your reviews!
